‘A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous.’
~Ingrid Bergman

Had a fabulous weekend! Spoke to a good friend last night who now lives in Kentucky and we laughed until our faces hurt. She always has the funniest stories about her job to tell.

I love to laugh. It truly makes the world go around.

Went to the mall Saturday to Christmas shop. Some people hate the season. The crowds, the tinny music, the shopping, the hustle and bustle. And that is certainly their decision and feelings.

I personally love:

~hearing the beautiful, uplifting once a year Christmas music,
~feeling the closeness of the crowds yet being apart from them,
~listening to the myriad of voices in different conversations,
~that ‘AHA’ moment when you find that perfect gift,
~sneaking a sample of the Great American Chocolate Chip Cookies that they put out with those little toothpicks in them,
~running into good friends,
~buying a big diet coke to sip on while meandering through the many shops with all the pretty things,
~smelling the scents of Christmas – cinnamon, eggnog, vanilla (my favorite),
~sitting at one of the little food courts to sneak a peak of the first chapter of the book you just bought.

Depends upon your perception, I guess, and nothing is wrong with the way a person feels! Maybe I am just weird but I have always believed in the live and let live mantra.

I don’t have to have ‘things’ to make me happy. Make no mistake about it ~ I like them, I want them. But what I need is love, laughter, music, a good movie, books, candles, and bubble bath. I am pretty cheap and pretty easily entertained.

Hey! With an MP3 player and world peace thrown in, sounds like a Christmas wish list!

Yo, Santa!

What do you need in life?

~Sandy

I need a good book, my iPod and a limitless supply of Diet Coke and coffee. Cheesecake would make me blissful.

Sandy S Says:

Um I would have to say good friends and family (both two and four legged), good health and good balance. On the material side of things my computer, some good books and money to travel.

Dennie Says:

the only thing I really wish i had more of – is time – there never seems to be enough – other than that – I’m good!

Renee: I am thinking iPod, but a good friend showed me his SanDisk so I’m thinking… I know I want at least a 4 mg. And I want the capability of dividing the music into folders. I have such eclectic taste in music and get into different moods so I want to be able to fix it up the way I want. And I am sure that is a lot more than you wanted to know. :rotfl:

Sandy S: I hear ya! LOVE to travel. If I was much younger I would think seriously about backpacking through Europe. Am I nuts or what? I am sure I never would, but like to dream.

Dennie: Time? What’s that? Never enough is for sure. Have so much I want to do. But I am learning to enjoy what I have.

Voodoo Says:

What we need is to drink a bottle of wine together in Mik’s living room! :bananadance:

Dennie Says:

Sandy Says:

Dennie: Do we get to ride on a train :rotfl:

On the materialistic side – a working computer/laptop/ereader – any of those.

Otherwise, good friends, security, my cats. Yep, that would work.
